Over the years I have  had the opportunity  to work with some excellent hypnotists.

A while back I was introduced indirectly to Igor, not yet in person, but through some of his online

presence. Emails about upcoming events, informational emails some with videos sharing some great content

in the hypnosis arena.

Then he and Cliff were offering an audio program on self hypnosis. Being a big fan of self hypnosis

I had to check this program out.  I had been trained to do inductions via relaxation countdowns. Listening to this program

I quickly learned a whole new way of arriving at the same place. Immediate mind expansion with new knowledge.

This program for me was excellent, exposing me to new approach to induction.

So good that when They offered “Advanced Covert Hypnosis Mind Bending Language System” I’m in, lets check this out

too. Again learning different approaches to induction, covert and direct and new ways to use language. I am still involved

with this one.

About three weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a workshop with Betty Alice Erickson, the daughter of Milton H. Erickson. I wrote about this a couple of weeks ago.

While there I was introduced to an excellent book –  Milton H. Erickson, M.D.  An American Healer. This book is edited by Betty Alice and Bradford Keeney, Ph.D.  This book is about Milton Erickson the Healer and the person. Betty Alice only had a couple of those books and I had to order it to be shipped to me. I received a great treasure.

This is a very good read, especially if you would like to learn more about Milton Erickson the person. Yes, he was an excellent therapist and hypnotist yet that part is not the main focus of this book. There is a bonus DVD of one of his sessions from 1958, very interesting to watch him actually at work.

The preface is written with very deep personal insight by his wife Elizabeth, citing some of her memories and  joys of being with Milton the person and healer.

The introduction is written by Bradford Keeney while chapter one  and the closing chapter are written by Betty Alice.  There are chapters each by his daughter Roxanna and son Allan. All of these are written in a way to allow us a glimps into the very human person that was Milton Erickson.

This book gives a very deep personal insight into Milton Erickson, the person, husband, father, friend, communicator and healer. There are pictures and some of his letters. The book is a treasure trove of information. A great addition to my library of other books about Milton and techniques of therapy and hypnosis.

The book is available at bookstores both on and off-line.

I was looking to contact a hypnotist friend of mine who I have mentioned before though not by name who is extremely successful in using hypnosis for sports improvement.

I received his wifes newsletter today and at the bottom was a link to his www.blogtalkradio.com/giftedhealer ,  I followed the link and listened to his latest interview with a very empowered lady who is an abuse survivor and author. I was very impressed with where he has been moved to persue, helping the survivors of sexual abuse and trauma to learn to heal. This is an excellent example of extremely beneficial applications of hypnosis.

The hypnotist is D J Frost down in Florida where he has private practice as well as telephone work with clients.(www.GiftedHealer.com)

I originally wanted to interview him about his work with sports hypnosis and also with the healing area he is working in now, as well as talking about his upcoming book, 5 Questions  and have the interview for my readers to hear.

We will see how this all works out soon.
